Dear Friends,

 

This is a pivotal time in our country and in our community. With the Democrats and their special interest allies now entirely in control of our federal and state governments it is more important than ever that our Party regroups and reasserts itself at the local level.

 

We must get back to the basics and stand up for our common-sense values and principles. We must once again be known as an organization that fights for lower taxes, less and smaller government, personal responsibility and a business friendly-environment that helps create good jobs.

 

Based on these principles, we will rebuild from the grassroots up, and reestablish who we are and what we stand for as Albany County Republicans. We will once again become a bold GOP.

 

Make no mistake, the Democrats will overreach as they try to implement their liberal agenda and voters will soon understand that the crowd they put in charge isn’t interested in common-sense centrist solutions. I believe that in a very short period of time their radical approaches will turn off average, middle class voters and we will have an opportunity to win back the right to govern.

 

But it’s not enough for us to be anti-Democrat. We must earn public support with our ideas, and demonstrate to the people of our community that the Republican Party is truly the Party of real solutions, and that we stand for real change, not the politics as usual. And we must stay committed to fielding quality candidates who are, above all else, the most capable of delivering good government for the people.

 

I’m excited and optimistic about the great things we can do if we are ready to take advantage of the opportunities that are sure to come before us. It’s going to take a lot of hard work and it will be no small task. But if we remain united, stay involved and focus on ideas and solutions, I am confident we will be successful.

 

Together, we will win again!
