The Capital District Young Republicans, along with county and local Republican organizations, unites GOP members aged 18-40 from all over the Capital District to support our party's candidates. This group has been formed to combine the efforts and resources of the county level Young Republican groups from Albany, Schenectady, Saratoga and Rennselaer. This organization will also provide a number of networking and social events for like-minded folks from the four member counties.

The Club will provide its members with opportunities for networking, meeting new people, keeping up to date on current events and public policy, and getting involved in the political process through campaigns and elections. Membership is open to thirtysomethings and twentysomethings — actually, anybody ages 18 through 40, inclusive — who lives or works in the area and expresses a preference for the principles of the GOP. We will aspire “To improve our communities and ourselves.”

New York's Capital District consists of Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady counties. We are at the heart of the Greater Capital Region and the emerging Tech Valley, centrally located in both the Hudson Valley and Upstate New York. The area includes the seat of New York State government, the City of Albany, in addition to the cities of Schenectady, Troy, Saratoga Springs, and four smaller riverside cities. Suburban towns include Colonie, Clifton Park/Halfmoon, Brunswick, North and East Greenbush, Bethlehem, Guilderland, Niskayuna, Rotterdam, Glenville, Malta, and Wilton, in addition to the surrounding exurbs, villages, hamlets, and rural countryside.
